Trail Information

The Marangu Route is a moderate to challenging trek on Mt. Kilimanjaro, covering about 72 km round trip with an elevation gain of 4,095m from Marangu Gate to Uhuru Peak. Known as the “Coca‑Cola Route,” it offers hut accommodations and a well‑graded trail, but the rapid ascent gives limited acclimatization, making prep hikes like Mt.Kinangop, Kipipiri, Elepehant Hill and Mt. Ole satima essential for success.
